Pennsylvania LIHEAP

Due to the federal government shutdown and lack of federal funding, the LIHEAP season opening is delayed until December 3, 2025, contingent on availability of federal funding.

LIHEAP PA helps low-income Pennsylvania families pay their heating bills and in some cases, restore gas service in the event of a shutoff. This one-time payment is sent directly to your utility company or fuel provider, and it will be credited on your bill.

Benefits range from $200 to $1,000 depending on household size, income, and fuel type. Both renters and homeowners may apply.
